Ssangyong Rexton W, a new generation version of this popular SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) was recently showcased at the Busan Motor Show, where it has been receiving an overwhelming response from the Indian car buyers. The Rexton W carries an all new engine system along with a number of styling upgrades. The new Rexton will be rolled-out in the South Korean market by July this year, while its India launch can be expected by the middle of next year.
At the exterior, the SUV is equipped with LED-surround projector headlamps along with LED fog-lamps. Moreover, the aggressive front bumper along with the new chrome lined grille that is now bigger and more stylish come with centrally positioned large SsangYong logo. New integrated wing-mirrors and LED turn-indicators are also there in the feature list of the vehicle.
The 2.7-litre engine sourced from Mercedes is replaced by a 1,998cc in-line four cylinder diesel motor, which is capable of generation a peak power of 154bhp. There company is also mulling to option of powering a new 2.2 litre twin turbocharged diesel motorwith a peak power of 221bhp.
