      Mopars Chrysler 200 and Redline at the Detroit Auto Show 2012

      Mopar, the automobile parts and service arm of Chrysler Group LLC, is all set to exhibit 2 accessorised cars at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show 2012, called Chrysler 200 Super S and 2012 Dodge Charger Redline.

      The Chrysler 200 Super S has 18 inch alloy wheels, a new trunk lid spoiler, a chin spoiler and a coil-over suspension. Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, said “The Super S is Mopar’s interpretation of the Chrysler 200.” He further added that “The extensive list of high-quality Mopar parts enhances the performance and appearance of our Chrysler 200.”

      The 2012 Dodge Charger Redline has a high-performance Hemi-powered engine which is capable of producing 590 hp. In addition to this, the Redline also consists of a kit with carbon-fibre chin spoiler, carbon-fibre door scoops, 20 inch black coloured wheels and a carbon-fibre rear spoiler.

      Explaining about Redline, Gorlier said, “Since the 1960s, the Mopar Brand has built a long history of adding power and performance to the Dodge Charger – and with the Redline, we Moparized the new Charger with modern-day performance and style while giving a nod to our storied past.” He added that, “With three kits, Mopar offers a tailored choice for every customer.”

      In 2012, Mopar will celebrate its 75th anniversary with by introducing Redline and Chrysler at The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) or Detroit Auto Show. In addition to this, several Mopar versions of Chrysler cars and trucks will also be launched in 2012.

      Mopar has grown into a bigger and global brand since joining hands with Fiat in 2009. The company on 21st December, 2012 declared that Mopar’s parts distribution centre will be opened in Shanghai and Dubai soon.

      Mopar’s centre in China is spread over an area of 1,72,000 square foot. The facility is expected to distribute more than 35,000 types of parts to more than 130 dealers in China. Over 1,93,000 parts will be disseminated from the Dubai centre to the Middle East and Africa.
