The Coupe and Roadster double-seat models have been discontinued by the company even after Mini launched the 5-door and 3-door models a few months ago. Mini now produces the 5-door and 3-door variants at the Oxford Plant in seven engine variants. The Mini Coupe had scheduled its global premier at the 24-hour racing on Nürburgring Nordschleife just before its appearance at the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) in 2011. The Coupe also was awarded the Best Cars 2015 on the basis of the reader’s vote organized by the automobile magazine. Also, the Mini Roadster was the first open-top, double-seater in the history of the brand. The textile roof opens manually as well as semi-automatically.

The Mini Countryman and the Mini Paceman is also making a significant impact in the compact segment.
