Michelin has just unveiled a new tyre technology under the name Vision Concept. This tyre also acts as a wheel and is airless and biodegradable.
The inspiration for this tyre comes from the nature, claims Michelin. The tyre is 3D printed which allows it to be crafted in a way that is less wasteful but is customisable for varied uses. The tread on this tyre can even be topped up, or recharged when it wears down or the driver is headed for different road conditions.
The Vision Concept tyre gets a few sensors that tells the driver about its condition through a smartphone application. In fact, the driver can use this app to change the tread depending on the road conditions.
