Bookings for the MG Hector are scheduled to resume from 1 October. Launched earlier this year on 27 June, the Hector received 21,000 bookings before the brand announced that they had temporarily closed bookings for the model.

Last month, MG Motors had announced a reward scheme for customers who had booked the Hector and were awaiting delivery. According to the scheme, the customer would receive 1,000 points for every week until the car is delivered to them.

Starting next month, Morris Garages will increase the production capacity of the Hector to 3,000 units per month. The increase in the production capacity was undertaken due to the high response received for the Hector. More than 50 per-cent of the bookings for the Hector has been accounted for the top two variants, including Sharp and Smart. The company will launch an all-electric model next year, known as the MG ZS EV.
