Mercedes Benz India has launched the new ML 63 AMG at Rs 1.49 crore (ex-showroom Delhi price). The latest model in AMG range, ML63 AMG is identical to the standard model, however an AMG body kit offered on the new ML 63 AMG varies both the vehicles. This AMG body kit makes the vehicle look sporty. Outer appearance is further improved by the presence of 20 inch AMG spec wheels fitted on the flared wheel arches.
Mercedes Benz has housed a robust bi-turbo 5.5 litre V8 engine that belts out a maximum power output of 532 PS and a peak torque of 700 Nm. A 7-Tronic AMG Speedshift transmission is coupled to the 5.5 litre engine that enables the vehicle to propel from 0 to 100 kmph within 4.7 seconds and attains a top speed of 250 Kmph. The electronically limited top speed of 250 Kmph could be increased to 280 Kmph, however top speed achieved by the standard model is around 220 kmph. Mercedes is also offering Star Care extended warranty for the new ML 63 AMG for which the customers have to pay Rs 1.5 lakh extra. However, the interior design package is being proffered as standard on the vehicle. Besides these, the ML 63 AMG comes with a special performance package.
The company is eyeing to reinforce its performance oriented AMG brand in India and has already launched five models under AMG range excluding the new ML 63 AMG. Year 2013 has been phenomenal for the company’s AMG models on global front including India therefore the company is keen at adding more vehicles to the AMG range. The AMG versions of standard models offer enhanced performance enabled by the additional features and a more appealing outer appearance.
