Mercedes India is seriously busy finalizing its plans to enter the used car market segment in India. The company is actively working on its plans to meet its deadlines to the launch of the business. However, the company has not specified any official timelines for the same.
"We are actively working on a plan for standardised globally used car business model for pre-owned Mercedes. Currently, this happens in an informal manner at the dealers' initiative," MBIL Director Sales & Marketing Debashish Mitra said at the launch of the new M class model in the metropolis.
Mercedes is also planning to launch inter-state transport buses in the country. It also looks forward to Center’s plans to modernize various city transport systems in India. "We are talking to private bus operators and the state government to understand their need," a company official said.
