      Mercedes Benz to add new variant '350 CDI' in E-Class range, launch on September 11

      Mercedes Benz India will soon add a new variant to the range of its popular premium saloon, E-Class. Speculations suggest that the new variant may be launched in India on September 11, 2014. Demand for E-Class in India is high among luxury car enthusiasts in India, hence the company decided to come up with a new variant to enhance the E-Class range. The new variant, christened ‘E350 CDI’ will come fitted with a six-cylinder engine and Intelligent Drive technology. It might be positioned a notch above the current high-end version, E250 CDI, hence placing it on the top of the range.

      Mercedes’ new E350 CDI trim be endowed with up-market looks, apart from being visually appealing the four seater will get mesmerising interiors classing up the cabin. Mercedes Benz India may also bring AMG version of the saloon in future.

      Power will be supplied to the vehicle through a six-cylinder powertrain capable of yielding high performance. Besides this, Mercedes Benz India will also incorporate a string of advanced safety features in the new variant of E-Class as it aims to make it the flagship vehicle of its clan. Other preeminent equipments that could make into the new variant comprise of the Distronic Plus adaptive cruise control with Steering Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, pedestrian recognition, Cross Traffic Assistant, blind-spot warning, adaptive high-beam lights and automatic parking. As for the pricing, since the new variant will be positioned above the current high-end model, hence we expect it to carry a relatively high price-tag.
