      Mercedes Benz press conference at Auto Expo 2014

      German cars have always been well accepted in the Indian car market. Banking on long standing goodwill in the  Indian as well as global markets, Mercedes Benz had recently reported that it plans to unveil about 8 – 10 new cars in 2014 for the Indian market. Eberhard Kern, the managing director and CEO of Mercedes Benz India, stated to PTI, “2013 was the most successful year for Mercedes Benz in India. Our sales grew by 32 per cent in 2013 as compared to previous year. In 2014, we are aiming at double digit growth. You can expect a similar number of launches this year as we did in 2013. We have lined up a number of launches in 2014. It's a kind of work in progress.”

      The recently introduced C Class carries a worldwide ad-campaign using the slogan, “The best knows no alternative for its new C-Class”. The luxury sedan been renowned at a global platform, Dr Jens Thiemer, the Vice President of Marketing Communications, Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, said, “The new C-Class is the highest-quality premium model in the medium-class segment. It uncompromisingly underlines the brand’s claim “The Best” to leadership.”

      Looking back at last year's sales chart, Mercedes Benz had reported an impressive double digit growth in luxury car sales. Mercedes Benz has also revealed their plans to expand their network presence in different states all over country.
