      Mercedes Benz planning the launch of Citan family van

      Mercedes Benz, the luxury auto brand based in Germany, is all prepared to introduce its new Citan family van at the Internationale Automobil Ausstellung (IAA) Commercial Vehicles show. This event is scheduled in the month of September 2012 in Hanover. However, this is the first car manufactured by the company under its joint flagship of Renault Nissan as well as Daimler. The company will also incorporate one more model in the category of family van, including Vito and Sprinter.

      Mercedes Benz is well known throughout the world for the quality and luxuries offered by the company. Owing to this, the company will ensure that its new Citan should boast a large number of comforts and world class features. The front fascia of new Citan has a three slat radiator grille, which is complemented with its uniquely designed headlights and accurately placed hood stand. Auto analysts speculate that Citan is an appealing car, which has fine exteriors as well as interior. The driver and passenger seats are provided with a backrest that enables its passengers to rejoice a comfortable journey. In addition, the seats of new Citan are covered with white upholstery that offers a warm welcome to its occupants.

      In addition to comfort features, the company has also offered advanced safety features within the car. These features include Adaptive Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS) and acceleration skid control. Apart from these advanced features, Mercedes Benz has also equipped some of the standard advancements within the car, including 6 airbags. In addition, Citan Crewbus also has thorax side bags, front passenger airbag and window bags for driver as well as the front passenger.

      The company has offered its van in three length options, namely 3.94 m, 4.32 m and 4.71 m. Along with this, the company has also offered five seater versions, namely Citan Mixto and the Citan Crewbus. Considering the technical part, the company has offered various supercharged petrol engines with its vehicles, ranging from 77 bhp to 109 bhp.
