      Mercedes-Benz India launches luxurious city buses for employees in Pune

      Employees working in Mercedes-Benz India Pune plant will now travel in the luxurious buses made by the German auto maker. The company aims to offer a fascinating ride for its workers from home to factory through its fleet of air conditioned buses. The low floor city buses will provided pick and drop services to employees for travelling to work in comfort and style.

      Commenting on the employee initiative, Eberhard Kern Managing Director and chief Operating Officer of Mercedes-Benz India was quoted as saying, “At Mercedes-Benz India we give a lot of importance to employee safety and well-being. Our commitment towards ensuring a safe, relaxing and comfortable journey for our employees to work has been reiterated with the introduction of new Mercedes-Benz low-floor city buses for their daily commute. These new low-floor Mercedes-Benz city buses have redefined the standards of city buses in terms of interiors, comfort, space and user friendliness and are extremely luxurious and comfortable and I am delighted that our valued colleagues will be using them to commute to work every day.”

      Meanwhile, these buses are equipped with the latest features and technology to ensure an innovative experience for passengers. The superior air suspension technology gives decent stability to the bus while driving through bad road conditions, apart from giving a better ride quality. For providing optimum comfort to passengers, the bus has been equipped with a powerful air conditioner, multiple charging points, high cushioning and destination board. In addition, the low floor design of the bus is made with due emphasis given on facilitating the needs of disable persons. When it come to safety, these buses are the first one to be certified with bus body code certification in India.

      These buses will daily ply on various parts of Pune city and will pick up employees to bring them at the company's plant in Chakan, while dropping them back at their homes in the evening. In total the company will employ 16 such buses that will lend comfort for employees to travel in a luxurious way.
