Mercedes-Benz has recently opened a new workshop in Mangalore. With the establishment of this new facility named Sundaram Motors, the carmaker has expanded its footprint in the country.
The new service station is set up with a total investment of Rs 5.5 crore. It is located on the Bangalore Highway, BC Road and is spread across 27,237 sq.ft. It will be handled by Sharath Vijayaraghavan, Executive Director, Sundaram Motors.
The workshop is capable of servicing 150 cars in a month with six service bays at its disposal at all times. The service area also features the brand's new ‘Digital Service Drive’, which uses the latest communication devices like tablets and even video calling. The carmaker's aim is to enhance the overall ownership experience by reducing the turnaround time and making processes fast and convenient.
This is Mercedes-Benz's sixth workshop that has been launched in India this year. Currently, the German-based luxury car manufacturer has 23 outlets in South India and 86 dealerships in 40 cities all over the country. This makes it the densest network for a luxury car brand in the Indian market.
