The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 has been imported to our country by the Stuttgart-based automaker for homologation. The two-door convertible is expected to be launched in India by the end of this year.

The SLC 43 AMG is a replacement to the SLK 55 AMG all over. It is not a completely new car but a mid-life cycle refresh. And the SLC moniker, in place of the SLK, is according to Mercedes' new nomenclature. In terms of appearance and equipment list, the top-spec SLK successor is in line with the current range of Mercedes-Benz cars.

Mercedes-Benz has powered the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 by a 3.0-litre V6 engine that belts out 367bhp of power and 520Nm of torque. This mill comes mated to the brand's 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The 0-100kmph sprint is done by the car in 4.7seconds and it reaches an electronically limited top-speed of 250kmph.

The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 is expected to recreate the magic of the SLK roadster, which was known as one of the best luxury convertibles in the world. For the Indian market, the new convertible will be launched through the CBU route.
