Indian subsidiary of German car maker Mercedes-Benz has gone ahead to introduce a new engagement platform for its customers called LuxeDrive. Mercedes-Benz India has been performing really well in India for the past couple of years and the firm wants to continue doing so, which is why it is giving customer satisfaction top priority. According to the firm, this event is likely to keep customers engaged with a combination of “adrenalin, gourmet and haute couture.”

Claimed to be an unparalleled luxury experience, LuxeDrive was held in Mumbai on the 11-12th April weekend. The LuxeDrive saw customers receive an extra rush of adrenaline that was provided by things other than Mercedes-Benz’s top class vehicles. Potential customers were treated to culinary delights cooked by Vikas Khannna, one of the most popular chefs in the country. The well-known master of cooking also gave participants an insight into his craft and a few tips regarding food.

The treat from Vikas Khanna was followed by a fashion session that featured international brands and the presence of a styling consultant, who gave tips to attendees.

Eberhard Kern, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz India, spoke about the event and explained the aim behind it. “Best Customer experience is a key pillar of Mercedes-Benz’s ‘Live the Best’ philosophy and through innovative customer engagement such as LuxeDrive, we have been successful in providing an experience of modern luxury to our prospects who aspires for a Mercedes-Benz. We are excited with this response and firmly believe that our customer focus approach has created an unparalleled fascination and delight, which has been pivotal in making us a clear market leader in the luxury car segment in India, today. The robust 40% sales growth along with other sales records achieved in the first quarter of 2015, underlines an astounding customer preference enjoyed by Mercedes-Benz. We are committed to our objective of keeping our customers delighted and provide them with a comprehensive luxury experience synonymous with the brand. LuxeDrive we believe, is a right move in that direction,” he said.

The event also saw the showcasing of how well cars from the firm, belonging to all categories, perform. This was portrayed through a chain of self-driving exercises conducted on a track, which was specially designed for the test. The comprehensiveness of the track gave participants a chance of experiencing both off-road and on-road conditions.

Mercedes-Benz, following the display of its cars’ prowess, conducted a nine-car exhibition, which had latest products including Dream and New Generation vehicles. To the delight of participants, they were also shown the AMG models, which are highly rated across the globe.

A special zone was created by the firm that allowed guests to choose and take home their favourite Mercedes-Benz merchandise. The German firm ensured that people from all ages were catered to and had sections for families with kids. Taking things further, Mercedes-Benz’s pre-owned car sales team was present at the event and gave free car evaluation tips to customers.

Chief Executive Officer of ExxonMobil Lubricants, Daniel Tan, was also key in the conceptualisation and carrying out of this event. “Through the Mercedes-Benz LuxeDrive Experience, Mercedes-Benz aims to provide a unique driving experience to the participants – through treacherous simulations showcasing the power, agility, unparalleled safety features and engineering capabilities of these vehicles. Given our long history and strong association with Mercedes-Benz and motorsports, we are delighted to support this initiative,” he said.
