Welcoming the New Year with much funfair, German automaker Mercedes-Benz has finally launched the GLE 450 Coupe in the country for Rs 86.4 lakh. The vehicle is indeed the first one among the 12 new models that is due for launch this year. Based on the GLE SUV that was launched last year, the new model is indeed a crossover-coupe version of the same.
Under the hood, the Mercedes Benz GLE 450 AMG Coupe gets 3.0-liter Biturbo V-6 engine that generates a massive 362bhp of power and 520Nm of torque. The powerful engine comes mated to 9-speed automatic gearbox. To further offer enhanced drive handling dynamics, the vehicle gets 4Matic all-wheel-drive system with AMG-specific transfer case and 40:60 front/rear torque split. On the exterior, the GLE 450 AMG Coupe features a large grill and air dams, Active LED headlamps with LED DRLs, 21-inch AMG twin 5-spoke alloy wheels, LED turn signals and LED brake lamps.
As for the interiors, the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG Coupe gets Dual-zone automatic climate control, 5-spoke alloy wheels, power tilt/telescopic steering column, heated front seats, sporty upholstery and Nappa leather multi-functional steering wheel. With due consideration for safety, the vehicle also comes loaded with adaptive breaking technology, rearview camera, blind spot assist, electronic stability programme and lane keeping assist.
