After rolling out GLA crossover in domestic market in September end, Mercedes Benz India is now readying to bring forth its performance oriented AMG variant in India. It has been learnt that GLA AMG will be rolled out on October 27th, 2014.
On the external front, Mercedes has bestowed GLA AMG with the cliché AMG traits. Features varying GLA AMG from the regular variant include inclusion of a reworked grille in the front, redesigned bumpers, rear diffuser, 19-inch alloy wheels, quad exhausts, bright red brake calipers. Inside the cabin, the vehicle gets a handful of modifications as compared to the regular GLA. A new flat-bottomed steering has been equipped along with a usual gear lever; front seats are now more sporty and supportive. Besides this, cabin also gets red seatbelts and contrast stitching on the dashboard.
Power will be generated by the same 2.0 litre, turbo petrol engine that is seen the CLA 45 AMG. The 2.0 litre, turbo petrol engine belts out pinnacle power output of 355 Bhp along with top torque of 45.8 kgm. GLA 45 AMG will be made available in all-wheel drive variant as opposed to its regular version that comes in front-wheel drive variant. With the addition of various external and interior changes and AMG moniker, the price of GLA’s performance variant is likely to undergo a huge bump. It is expected that GLA AMG could be rolled out for Rs 75 lakh.
