      Mercedes Benz enters the Vidharbha region

      The country's leading luxury car maker Mercedes Benz India opened its first ever dealership in Nagpur, making its entry in the Vidharbha region. The new outlet, which is spread over an area of 43,500 sq ft, is located at the MIDC premises in Nagpur. The new facility is also equipped with an integrated after-sales and service facility.

      According to a statement given by the company on the occasion, "With establishment of the facility at Nagpur, Mercedes-Benz India now enjoys a network spread across 28 cities with over 57 touch-points in India." Mercedes also introduced the New E-Cabriolet in the city.

      Speaking on the occasion, Mercedes-Benz India's Managing Director and CEO, Peter Honegg said, "It is our understanding of the Indian customer and marketplace which convinced us about the potential of Nagpur and its adjoining areas like Bhandara, Chandrapur, Yavatmal, Akola and Amravati."

      According to Mr. Honegg, Mercedes has its bus building facility at Chakan in Pune which is spread over a land of 100 acres. The company has rolled-out more than 30,000 units of its cars in the country, in just three years of its operations in the country. The company will also roll-out Mercedes Benz coach for inter-city transport, in coming months.
