A special edition of Mercedes E-class was launched in India which is especially tailor-made for the Indian customers. "The Special Edition E-Class will be a collector's item - a luxurious, powerful and exclusive Mercedes-Benz with an even more sporty and aggressive styling," Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and CEO Wilfried Aulbur said in a statement. The company would produce only 192 units of this special vehicle to maintain exclusivity.
The Mercedes E-Class is equipped as a standard with the Audio 20 radio featuring CD player and nine speaker sound system. It also comes with optional COMAND APS control and display system. It combines radio, MP3 player and a DVD navigation system with dynamic route guidance. The optional Intelligent Light System on the Mercedes E-Class automatically adjusts the low-beam headlamps to every driving situation using the bi-xenon headlamp system with active light and cornering light function. The CGI variant of the Mercedes E-Class uses direct injection based on piezo injection technology, which reduces fuel consumption and ensures virtually complete, low-emission fuel combustion.
The Special Edition E-Class will cost Rs. 43.4 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi, and the colourrange will include Carneol Red, Calcite White, Obsidian Black, Iridium Silver, Cubanite Silver, and Tenorite Grey.
