      Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG Vs BMW M3 - Specs detailed

      Auto enthusiasts have always been eager with high performance machines. The BMW M3 will get its newest competitor in form of C43 from Mercedes Benz, which is set for launch tomorrow. As competition between the two German automakers is set to get stronger, we delve into specs details for two interesting performance machines.    

      The BMW M3 and the Mercedes-Benz C43 are powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine. However, in terms of power output figures, the BMW M3 takes a lead with 431bhp, while the C43 AMG from Mercedes-Benz generates around 357bhp. The 74bhp difference between the two might lure buyers to the M3 but as we delve deeper, the torque figures are almost identical, wherein the M3 generates about 550Nm of torque and the C43 AMG generates around 521Nm of torque.

      BMW M3

      The fairly powerful engine in the BMW comes mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox with paddle-shifters, while the upcoming newest AMG from Mercedes will come mated to 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. To make it more interesting the C43 will be offered with AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive system with front and rear torque split maximum enhanced drive experience.

      The newcomer Mercedes C43 will get AMG Ride Control Sport suspension with a lighter, more rigid 4-wheel multilink design with AMG-developed springs and electronically controlled shock absorbers with 3-stage variable damping for a best driving experience. The BMW M3 gets the adaptive M suspension which are electronically controlled shock absorbers that constantly adjust as per road conditions as well as driving style within milliseconds. The company boasts that the suspension technology guarantees optimal road contact in every situation along with best possible traction and even more agile handling.

      Mercedes C43 AMG

      In terms of performance the BMW M3 undoubtedly wins hands-down, but then it also comes at a higher price point of Rs 1.25 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi).  On the other hand, the Mercedes C43 AMG which is a bit slower in comparison is more inclined to Indian conditions and with an anticipated pricing between Rs 75 lakh - 90 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi), the former is definitely offered at a good point. On the safety aspect, both the cars at par with all modern safety features such as multiple airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control and more.
