      Mercedes-Benz, the German auto giant, is famed for its swanky cars all across the globe. Out of its exclusive line-up, one model that has carved a niche for itself is Mercedes-Benz C-Class, wherein 'C' indicates a coupe or cabriolet body style.

      Amongst its recent accomplishments stand the 10 million mark it crossed this year as sales of Mercedes-Benz C-Class have been soaring globally. With this statistic, the German auto maker crossed a milestone, which it intends to celebrate via the launch of an exquisite edition version of the C-Class. As it may be known to keen followers, ten million units of Mercedes Benz C-Class are presently reigning the roads all-around the world. So to exalt this achievement the German automobile manufacturer launched a Celebration Edition of the C-class in international markets. Now, Mercedes-Benz is all set to kick off the launch of the same version here in India on November 12, reports have claimed. In major European markets, this Celebration Edition is about 2000 Pounds costlier than the regular version. This clearly indicates that for Indian market it may come at a price costlier than the regular version by Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh.

      It goes without saying that this version of C-Class befits the standards of Mercedes-Benz and promises to bring a couple of extras over the regular goodness of the C-Class. The special edition variant will be available only in the C220 CDI model and gets an AMG kit with, bumper spoilers and larger AMG wheels. As reported, the C-Class Celebration Edition will only bear few cosmetic changes; however, the engine specifications would be the same. While the changes on exteriors may include a new front grille besides a new set of alloy wheels, the interiors too get some modifications. The C-Class Celebration Edition will come with features like push start/stop button and a wooden trim finish.

      The company's plan to introduce a Celebration Edition of the the C-Class model of Mercedes-Benz in India catapulted from the fact that the C-Class has been faring quite well in the Indian car market lately. As told by the company, out of all the 10 million units sold, the current-generation C-Class has accounted for 2.3 million units worldwide. Going by that, the launch of the same in India is going to shoot up sales figures of this model of Mercedes-Benz, further. In the year 2012, Mercedes-Benz launched around eight new cars, while the models that made appearance in 2013 include the likes of GL-Class SUV, A-Class, B-Class , E-Class and the E63 AMG.

      Analysts claim that in recent times India has become an important market for Mercedes-Benz. This can been seen by the number of models it introduced in 2013 along with giving an insight into the future plans. Industry experts believe that Mercedes-Benz C-Class Celebration Edition is likely to do really well, considering the success of its current generation model. 2013 has seen the launch of a number of limited edition versions of successful models. In order to attract buyers in testing times, car makers have introduced special variants. This trend was spotted more in the mass car segment and is now being followed by luxury vehicle makers as well.
