Mercedes Benz India will launch the Special Editions of its hatchbacks, A-Class and B Class tomorrow in the domestic market. The Stuttgart based auto maker will offer ‘Edition 1’ special editions of the forenamed vehicles in diesel options only. Cosmetic modifications will be confined to minimal on both outside and inside the cars. On the other hand among the petite mechanical changes, an increased ground clearance is included resulting in improved ride quality. This will also help both the vehicles to tackle bumps on roads more effortlessly.

Outer revivifications include glossy black cover, running boards and headliners equipped with Edition 1 badges, reworked 17 inch alloy wheels rendering sporty look to the hatchback duo and a few others. Inclusion of few new features and several tweaks make the cabin more comfortable-an electrically adjustable passenger’s seat, rear centre armrest with cup holders, reverse camera and a panoramic sunroof will be put on offer. Mercedes Benz B Class Edition 1 will be proffered with an exclusive rear seat entertainment package and it will be missing in the A-Class.

Engine configuration will remain same in the Edition 1 special editions of both the hatchbacks as equipped in their respective standard models. Additions of new features and couple of reworks done on the hatchback could result in a slight price hike as compared to their standard versions. A-Class is hardly a year old in domestic market and diesel version of B-Class had also been around for the same time period.
