With the amount of camouflage visible on both the front and rear sections of the test car, we can assume that the exterior changes will be confined to the redesigned grille, reworked bumpers, and LED headlamps. Earlier spy pictures of the test car revealed a digital instrument cluster like in the E and S-Class, however, it remains to be seen if it will be standard or a part of the options list.

Reports state that Mercedes-Benz is looking to deviate from the current V6 engines and use in-line six cylinder motors for the C-Class. In the same way, the C43 may also get an inline 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged engine with slight hybrid abilities, and will produce more than the 365bhp that’s on tap in the current car.

Once the facelifted C-Class saloon and C43 rolls into the global market, Mercedes-Benz plans a sporty wagon for this body style in the time to come. Stay tuned to CarTrade for more news.
