The newly launched Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 is the newest addition to the AMG line from the German automaker. Replacing the SLK 55 AMG, the newly launched roadster is not just an impressive performer with a smaller engine but also thrills with loads of style quotient.
Replacing the older 5.5-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine which powered the SLK 55 AMG, the newly launched AMG SLC 43 is gets a smaller yet powerful 3.0-litre V6 biturbo petrol engine which generates about 361bhp of power and 500Nm of torque. Mated to a new nine-speed automatic gearbox the car sprints from 0 – 100 kmph in just about 4.7 seconds.
Speaking about interiors, the newly launched roadster comes with Nappa leather upholstery, designo seat belts in red, height and backrest adjustment with three memory settings and height-adjustable crash-responsive NECK-PRO head restraints. The AMG instrument cluster includes race timer that is displayed via the 11.4-cm multifunction display and AMG-specific lettering.
As for the exteriors the Mercedes-AMG 43 gets the front sports diamond radiator grille in chrome with louvre in iridium silver and dynamically shaped air intakes with fins in silver chrome. The car also gets an AMG-specific front and rear bumpers that connects us to the performance line from the German automaker. Additionally, the roadster also comes with LED headlamps with ILS and integrated DRLs and turn indicators. The rear section features new LED taillights, silver chrome on rear bumper, AMG sports exhaust system with two chrome-plated tailpipes and swept-back boot lid with brake lamp in the rear spoiler lip.
The feature loaded Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 gets Dynamic Select function which offers five selectable drive modes – Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual. The roadster also gets the AMG sports suspension system that makes it a sheer impressive performer. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto system. Moreover, the Garmin MAP Pilot makes navigation an easy task.
As for safety, the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 gets ABS, priming and brake drying function, hill start assist and hold function. It also gets six airbags in total along with other features like acceleration skid control, crash-responsive head restraints and pre-safe system with reversible belt tensioners. Whenever emergency braking is detected the brake assist system with brake servo assistance help with effective braking.
