Mercedes AMG’s latest flagship will be launched tomorrow, the GT. This new sportscar replaced the SLS AMG. The AMG GT is more of a daily use sportswear, compared to the SLS AMG, which was a supercar. It’s design was inspired by the 1955 300SL Gull-wing.

The new GT is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo engine instead of the 6.2-litre V8 on the SLS AMG. The GT is a highly luxurious sports car that is even track focused. The AMG GT’s engine has been downsized, but it still produces 510bhp. This new V8 mill has two turbochargers that are not mounted on the outside but are on the inside the V-config. This comes mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
There is an AMG start-up screen with an animated GT that appears on the instrument cluster’s TFT screen. The high quality leather used on this new sportswear adds on to the premium-ness. The safety features on the AMG GT include PRE-SAFE, Highly adaptive headlamps, PARKTRONIC, reverse parking camera, blind spot assist and even traffic sign assist. The other features include Collision Prevention assist Plus, Adaptive Brake, Attention Assist and of course multiple airbags for front, side, window and knees. The AMG GT comes with 19-inch alloy wheels for the front, while the rear gets 20-inch ones.
