Performance car lovers in the country may have a new reason to cheer soon as Mercedes Benz plans to launch its new beast, the AMG GT S in India on 24th November this year. Post launch, this would be the second power packed vehicle from the German automaker after the SLS AMG. The pricing aspect is not known for now and may be known at a later date.
The upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT S shall be powered by 3,982 cc, V8 bi-turbo engine mated to 7-speed, dual clutch automatic transmission that generates a massive 503bhp of power and 650Nm of torque. For high performance needs, the vehicle gets AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with electronic dampeners that allow driver to choose between Comfort, Sport and Sport plus modes. The powerful engine sprints from 0-100Km/h in just about 3.8 seconds and can attain a top-speed of about 311km/h.
As for safety, the Mercedes-AMG GT S gets Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Adaptive Brake, Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Attention Assist, Lane Tracking package, Front airbags, knee bags, combined thorax/pelvis side bags, and window bags. The vehicle also gets a Blind Spot Assist and Tyre pressure monitoring system for maximum safety. On the design aspect, the long bonnet, large air intakes at the front, and LED headlamps with DRLs are hard to miss and renders it a unique style.
