The new Mercedes-AMG GT four-door has been spotted undergoing wind tunnel testing ahead of its official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show which is due to be held in March. Sometime back, a fixed rear wing version, expected to be a slightly more powerful version of the standard GT four-door, was also spotted on test.

In terms of design, it looks like the AMG GT up front, while all around it gets a few elements from the CLS. Under the hood, it might get the existing 4.0-litre petrol V8 twin turbocharged engine which generates 608bhp of power. The powerful engine comes mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox and fully variable four-wheel drive system. The German luxury car manufacturer might also introduce a range-topping hybrid powertrain that will generate around 800bhp of power.

Based on what can be seen, the vehicle gets a Panamerican grille which will be flanked by stylish LED headlights. The vehicle gets a longer wheelbase which will offer more space for the occupants. The new model has been conceived as an upmarket replacement for the modern day CLS 63. Additional details about the vehicle will be known post its official unveiling at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March.
