      Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe debuts at 2015 Detroit Motor Show

      Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the GLE 63 Coupe at the ongoing 2015 Detroit Motor Show. The vehicle will be offered in both S version and standard model.

      Set to rival against the BMW X6 M, the crossover gets an aggressive front fascia with a single bar grille flanked by LED headlamps. It gets gloss black flics, large air intakes, a four-tailpipe exhaust system, etc. The flared wheel arches of the car have been fitted to 22-inch lightweight alloy wheels with a titanium gray finish.

      Inside, the GLE 63 S Coupe gets the flat-bottomed steering wheel, restyled instrument cluster with faux carbon fiber dials and nappa leather seats. Adding to it, the vehicle gets leather wrapped dashboard, carbon fiber/piano black trim and ventilated or heated front seats. For entertainment, the vehicle has a Harman Kardon audio system. It also gets stainless steel pedals and AMG-branded floor mats.

      Under the bonnet is a twin turbo 5.5-litre V8 engine that churns out a maximum power output of 577bhp and a peak torque of 760Nm. Power is transmitted to a rear-biased 4MATIC all-wheel drive system via an AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission. The vehicle accelerates to 100kmph from zero in mere 4.2 seconds. It comes with five different driving modes- Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus, Individual and Slippery Transmission.
