Trident, the British sports car manufacturer, has announced the launch of its flagship Iceni sports car. It is claimed to be the world’s fastest and most fuel efficient diesel sports car. The Iceni is claimed to offer an extra-ordinary fuel economy of 24.39 kmpl.
Under the hood, the Iceni get the 6.6-litre V8 turbo diesel engine that produces 395 bhp of top power and 948 Nm of torque. The standard model can do 0-96 kmph in just 3.7 seconds and it catches a top speed of 306 kmph. The performance upgrade version is capable of developing a peak power of 430 bhp and 1,286 Nm of peak torque, while the track focused model will see a rise in these figures to 66 bhp and 1,422 Nm of torque.
With a top speed of over 306kmph and the ability to run for 3218 kmph on a single tank of mineral or bio-diesel, the Iceni uses torque multiplication technology to achieve this unique combination of speed, power & fuel efficiency.
Trident has also unveiled two new models of the Iceni range- the Iceni Magna (fastback) & Iceni Venturer (estate). All three models boast the same spec, each with its own distinctive design. The sports car features a distinctive look, with clean curves and the usual sculpted rear. Moreover, the car incorporate over thirty-nine bespoke, designed & manufactured components, including independent control of each car seat and oculight roof.
