Maruti Suzuki is introducing a limited edition of small car model Ritz today. The limited edition model is Ritz Genus which will have additional features along with a brand new signature colour “Emerald Blue.” The new model with new colour comes with body colour door handles and matching rear view mirrors. The new features include tilt steering, key less entry and integrated music system.
The new variant will be Rs. 17,000 more expensive than the existing variant of Ritz. MSI presently sells the Vxi and Vdi variants of the Ritz for Rs 4.52 lakh and Rs 5.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). There will be only 5000 units of the limited edition variant which will be sold across India. Ritz Genus will be available as an option on the Ritz VXi (Petrol) and Ritz VDi (Diesel) models.
“Ritz has received very good demand from customers. I am confident that the new edition — Ritz Genus — will find great appreciation with customers,” Maruti Suzuki India Chief General Manager (Marketing) Shashank Srivastava said. Maruti Ritz Genus limited edition model comes as a marketing strategy from MSIL to generate incremental sales. In recent years, the company has brought in `Limited Editions’ for its bestsellers like Swift, Estilo and Alto to bring vibrancy and excitement around its offerings.
