India’s leading auto maker, Maruti Suzuki India will wrap up year 2014 with launch of new Swift Dzire, while this year will end with a launch the auto giant is also gearing up for new vehicle launches lined up for 2015. Up next on MSI’s list is SX4 S-Cross expected to be rolled out early next year. Expected to be priced between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 11 lakh, the vehicle will compete with the likes of Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano, Mahindra Scorpio and Ford EcoSport.
Maruti SX4 S-Cross will be made available in petrol and diesel engine options. Already available for sale in Europe, the vehicle is offered in 1.6 litre petrol and diesel engine options, however MSI has yet not hinted at the engine configuration for the domestic market. Inside the cabin a black theme with silver lining are likely to be seen. Since MSI will manufacture the crossover in India, hence there is a strong possibility that the crossover will share most of its parts with smaller siblings Swift and Ciaz. Other equipments such as power window switches, door handles, door locks, steering wheel and indicator stalks are expected to be offered on the crossover.
Range topping variant of the vehicle could come with engine starter button, besides this S-Cross is likely to get automatic climate control, power folding mirrors, touchscreen infotainment system, alloy wheels. On the safety front, MSI is likely to bestow S-Cross with Anti-Lock-Braking-System and airbag for front passenger and driver’s seat.
