      Maruti Swift facelift price revealed; deliveries to begin soon

      Maruti Suzuki has silently updated the facelifted Swift hatchback in the country. The company has already dispatched the new Swift to dealers, and the dealers around the country are also offering test drives of the Swift facelift. The car is now available on sale in Delhi and pricing and other details have already been revealed.

      The Maruti Swift facelift is priced at Rs. 4.41 lakh for the base petrol variant and Rs. 5.89 lakh for top-spec diesel model. Prices for the diesel Swift starts at Rs. 5.45 lakh and goes up to Rs. 6.94 lakh for top-end ZDi variant. The VXi variant is around Rs. 16,000, the ZXi variant is 23,000, the VDi trim by 20,000 and the ZDi trim is 23,000 costlier over the previous model.

      The base L trim now features rear adjustable headrests, 60:40 rear seat split, front power windows and keyless entry. The mid-level V trim gets new audio system with Bluetooth, electrically adjustable and retractable outside rear view mirrors, ABS (for diesel model only), etc. The top-of-the line Z trim is equipped with features like i-Key with push button start and stop, reverse parking sensors, multi-functional steering wheel with controls for audio and Bluetooth Telephony, and new 15-inch alloy wheels.

      Under the hood are the same 1.2-litre 4-cylinder K series petrol and the 1.3-litre Fiat Multi-Jet turbo diesel units. The petrol motor is claimed to return an impressive fuel economy of 20.4kmpl, while the diesel unit delivers 25.2kmpl of fuel efficiency.
