Maruti Suzuki has been the market ruler across car segments in India. This time around the country's largest carmaker has reportedly been working on a new premium hatchback codenamed for now as 'YRA'. The upcoming new hatchback shall be launched in the domestic as well as international market. Recently sources have managed to capture spy shots of the hatchback being tested on the tarmac.
Technical specification for Maruti Suzuki YRA is unknown for now, if reports are to be believed the vehicle may be available in Petrol as as well as diesel trims. The petrol version is likely to be available in two petrol engine options like 1.2 Liter and 1.4 Liter, whereas the diesel version may be powered by 1.3 Liter engine.
Speaking on the designing aspect the Maruti Suzuki YRA's front fascia seems to share some resemblance with the Swift hatchback. The headlamps carry sweptback look and the grill has received a V-shaped honeycomb pattern. The fog lamps and the grille has also received abundant amount of chrome, that specifically looks good with a wider air damn that the vehicle features. The hatchback has large flared wheel arches that blend well with the alloys.
From a safety perspective, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the YRA hatchback loaded with modern safety features like ABS and Airbags. As seen in the spy shots, the hatchback is likely to receive infotainment system and a blue-lit instrument console. The pricing aspect has not been revealed for now and may be known at the time of an official announcement made by Maruti Suzuki in this regard.
