The YBA compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki is next-in-line much awaited vehicle in the country post the Baleno hatchback launch. The carmaker is expected to launch the YBA compact SUV during the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo Event due to be held next year. The new model could emerge as a strong competitor against the likes of Renault Duster and Ford Ecosport in the country. The pricing aspect is not known for now, it is anticipated that it could be offered around Rs 8.0 – Rs 10.0 lakh bracket.
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki YBA could be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol trim could either get a 1.2-litre or 1.4-litre VVT engine, while the diesel trim could be offered with a 1.3-litre DDiS Diesel engine option. It is also anticipated that the company may also offer an optional CVT apart from the regular 5-speed manual gearbox. The recently introduced Smart Hybrid Vehicle System (SHVS technology) could also be offered in diesel trim of upcoming YBA compact SUV.
The company has also been planning on standardizing safety features like dual front airbags and ABS with EBD across all models. This indicates that that YBA could also be offered with these features along with more features. The SUV being a premium offering, could be sold via the Nexa outlets. The pricing and in-depth feature information may be known at the time of its official launch during the event due to held next year.
