      Maruti Suzuki WagonR Think Big Challenge Season 3 to commence soon

      One of the most popular challenges of India now includes Maruti Suzuki WagonR think Big Challenge Season 3. The contest is all set to overstep the past records as it has already accumulated 23,000 registrations since 22nd April, when the registrations opened. The contestants can apply through any of the company's 160 dealerships scattered in 19 cities and there is an option to register online as well.

      1st of June 2012 will mark the closure of registration for the contest. The contest from Maruti was introduced in the year of 2009 and the last two seasons have been received very well by the masses. Season 1 and season 2 gathered 1.25 lac and 1.35 lac registrations respectively and has been a run-away hits. The registration figure this season is expected to go well beyond the last two seasons.

      Coming from multiple cities, pan-India, a wide range of brilliant ideas were presented in the last two seasons of the Maruti Suzuki WagonR Think Big Challenge. In the last season, Aparna Bhatnagar from Jaipur came up with a unique concept of 'The green and good store', which is an online store selling products that promises to revolutionise the world by bringing about environmental and social changes. This concept of hers made her one of the finalists in the contest.

      With the challenge in its third leg this year, the car maker promises to be more transparent and devote special attention on the contestants from particular categories. In an attempt promote entrepreneurial spark amongst the young guns, Maruti Suzuki has introduce a new category this year. This category is called 'WagonR Think Big Challenge3-Young Turks' and is designed for the B-School students. Students across 120 colleges are invited to present their ideas in the challenge.

      The winner from the general category will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10 lacs whereas the winner from the Young Turks category will be entitled to the cash prize of Rs. 1 Lac.

      Executive Director, Maruti Suzuki India, Shashank Srivastava commented on the occasion, “Our initiative to nurture innovative business ideas has seen huge popularity in the last two seasons. To encourage entrepreneurship among college students we have specifically added a new category this year. WagonR Think Big Challenge is an ultimate test of a business idea, passion, leadership and smartness”

      The highly successful Maruti Suzuki WagonR is synonymous with innovation and cutting-edge technology. The car represents the Thinkers and Innovators. The model has been the leader in its segment since 2000 when it was launched through constant up-gradation and introduction of top of the class features. WagonR has been leading the path for technologies like multiple fuel options, top-class safety features or tall boy design.

      The Maruti Suzuki WagonR Think Big Challenge provides a common stage to the aspiring business persons to exhibit their genuine business plans. Maruti Suzuki aims at rekindling the entrepreneurial spirits amongst the mass with this genuine move. Venture Capitalists evaluate the business ideas from the contestants, whether or not they have any commercial viability or if there is any possibility of funding them.
