Earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki had managed to grab some eyeballs at the 2014 Auto Expo event held in Delhi, with the showcase of Wagon R Xrest. This time around sources have managed to grab pictures of the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Xrest being tested on Indian roads. As seen at the Auto Expo event, the one spotted also featured black plastic cladding that covers the lower part of the vehicle. Decent use of Chrome and black plastic garnishing on the vehicle renders it a smart look.
Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Xrest mat be powered by the existing 1.0 Liter petrol K-series engine that is capable of generating about 68 PS of power with about 90 Nm torque output. The fairly decent responsive engine has been mated to a five speed manual transmission. As seen in spy shots the Wagon R Xrest is likely to sport dual-tone beige and black interior that renders it a rich look. The tail lamps carry a smoked up darker effect and the sides sport silver skid guards that make it a stylish offering from the Wagon R production line in the country.
Maruti Suzuki has not spoken in much detail about plans of launching the Xrest trim, buy going by what we see, you can expect the vehicle being out for grabs sometime in 2015. The company shall also speak on the pricing aspect sometime later.
