      Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza variant details

      The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki launched the much awaited Vitara Brezza in India, yesterday, at a starting price tag of Rs 6.99 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). For now, the Vitara Brezza is only available in diesel engine option, while petrol may be introduced at a later date. If the petrol variant is ever introduced, it could be either a 1.2-litre engine from Swift or a 1.0-litre, three cylinder boosterjet engine.

      As for now, the newly launched Maruti Vitara Brezza is offered with 1.3-litre diesel engine that generates about 90bhp of power and 210Nm of maximum torque. The compact SUV comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission for now, while an AMT could possibly be introduced at a later date. The Vitara Brezza is offered in six variants - LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi+.

      Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza variant details

      The Vitara Brezza LDi is offered as a base variant that is priced at Rs 6.99 lakh. It comes loaded with features such as driver airbag, power steering, audio system with Bluetooth, folding rear seat, front power windows, tilt steering, engine immobilizer, manual AC and power mirrors. While the LDi (O) that is offered at Rs 7.12 lakh additionally offers ABS, EBD, dual front airbag and a front seat belt pre-tensioner with force limiter.

      Moving up one level, the Vitara Brezza VDi variant offered for Rs 7.62 lakh is offered with blackened A-B-C-pillars on floating roof, rear parking sensors, electromagnetic tailgate, full-wheel covers, keyless entry, all four power windows, roof rails and electromagnetic tailgate. It also features a gear shift indicator and rear parking sensors. The VDi (O) variant on the other hand offered for Rs 7.75 lakh is loaded with features like ABS, EBD, dual front airbags and front seatbelt pre-tensioner with force limiter.

      Need more features? The Vitara Brezza ZDi offered for Rs 8.55 lakh comes loaded with features like piano black centre console, dual front airbags, projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, 60:40 split rear seat, driver’s seat height adjust, front fog lamps, faux skid plate located on the front and rear bumpers, ABS with EBD, unique speedometer lights, automatic AC, steering-mounted audio control, rear wiper with washer and rear centre arm rest. Additionally, the ZDi variant comes with 215/60 R16 tyres that sits on 16-inch alloy wheels.

      The top-of-the-line Vitara Brezza ZDi+ that is priced at Rs 9.68 lakh is offered with features like SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, dual-tone exterior paint, push-button start, automatic headlamps, power folding wing mirrors, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, front arm rest, navigation and reverse parking camera display and cooled glove box.

      For quite a while car buyers in the country have been waiting to see a compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki’s production line. The new model comes forth as a strong rival pitted against popular sellers like the Ford’s EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV300. Loaded with features, lucrative price tag and backed by company’s easy maintenance history, the Vitara Brezza indeed offers a strong proposition in its segment. Given the features at that price point, the ZDi comes forth as a good option if you intend on driving home one soon.
