The fleet owner’s favorite sedan will finally pave the way for a new Dzire

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour to be discontinued soon

The Dzire tour, even though it was same as the original Dzire that was launched way back in 2007 sold in good numbers as it was the much preferred sedan of fleet owners thanks to the current Dzire’s compact dimensions. However according to sources, Maruti might pull the plug on it by March 2017.

With the new Dzire due soon Maruti might just introduce a basic variant of the current Dzire to push into the taxi fleet segment. The current Tour variant has been steadily selling around 2500 – 3000 units every month which is quite a good number and thereby making it necessary to replace the car.

With a waiting for its popular models like the Baleno and the Brezza and the new Ignis coming in soon as well, Maruti is already facing production constraints. As a result discontinuing dated models like the Dzire Tour and the Ritz is bound to help the increase in production of the newer and more popular models.
