Ahead of its official launch next month; new details about the upcoming Maruti Swift facelift have been surfaced on the interweb. The bookings for the updated model have already commenced at a token amount of Rs. 10,000, while the deliveries are expected to commence next month.
The updated Swift facelift features automatic headlamps, new front bumper that accommodates silver strip forming L-shape, new alloy wheels and reversing camera. The interiors of the refreshed hatchback gets additional equipment including keyless entry with push start/stop button, one touch auto-up & down power window for the driver, etc. It also gets electrically adjustable and retractable outside rear view mirrors.
Under the hood the new Swift hatchback gets the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre multi-jet diesel unit that also powers the current model. While the petrol engine develops 86bhp and 114Nm of torque, the oil burner is good for 75bhp and 190Nm of torque. The company has tweaked the engines to offer better fuel efficiency that is rated at 20.4kmpl for petrol and 25.2kmpl for diesel.
To be precise, the V trim is equipped with new music system with speed sensing auto-sound, electrically retractable and adjustable ORVMs, new wheel caps, anti-lock braking system, etc. The top-spec Z trim features keyless entry with push start button, cruise control, new alloys, reverse parking sensors, automatic climate control, multi-functional steering wheel, etc.
