Maruti Suzuki's Stingray though a great option in the hatchback segment failed to generate high demand like its Wagon R sibling. A while ago sources had managed to catch a glimpse of AMT technology blessed Wagon R trim in the country. Back then, sources had also indicated on the possibility of an AMT variant in Stingray variant as well.
The Maruti Suzuki Stingray also gets a 998cc engine that serves the Wagon R trim. The fairly powered engine is capable of generating about 67 Bhp of power at 90 Nm of Torque. Going by reports, the vehicle is likely to be blessed with AMT box from the popular Magneti Marelli that has also been serving the popular Celerio hatchback from the carmakers production line.
