      Maruti Suzuki showcases its line-up at the Auto Expo 2014

      A while ago we had mentioned a sedan from Maruti Suzuki that may replace the existing line of SX4. The car codenamed YL1 back then has been named as concept Ciaz at the 2014 Auto Expo event. The petrol version is expected to get a 1.4-litre K-Series engine while the diesel variant is more like to get a 1.6-litre Fiat Multijet turbo powertrain.

      Maruti has unveiled a fresh version of its Swift hatchback, the car has been rechristened as Swift Sports. The current generation Maruti Suzuki Swift carries a 1.2 litre petrol K-series engine. The new version was launched in UK last year and it is expected that the local version may be based on similar technical specifications. The car is powered by 1.6 liter VVT engine that generates an impressive 136 Ps of power with 160 Nm of torque. The engine shall be mated to a six speed gear box. Another version named 'Swift Volt' has also been showcased at the event. The motor in both the cars are refined and responds well to feet-tapping on the accelerator pedal. Handling has never been a problem with Swift since its launch in early 2000's.

      Next in line is an SUV named the Grand Vitara Luxion. The car carries a mature and distinctive look. Detailed specifications has not been released for now and is expected at a later date. Source have also not disclosed its exact launch date.

      The Indian car-maker showcased Eeco Piknik at the event. The car has not undergone major technical changes but features some cosmetic upgrades. The shades are much livelier than what it has been earlier.

      Alto 800 comes with a fresh look for the Auto Expo. The car features interesting exterior designs and features a livelier interior. Funky set of alloys add a distinctive look to its overall small car appeal. Technical specifications remain unchanged.

      The Alto K10 Krescendo has been showcased in a sportier version. Interiors as well as the exteriors feature a dual tone color combination. The new shades are eye-catchy and look appealing. Technical upgrades are not expected in this small car.

      Maruti Suzuki has also unveiled its fresher sedan the Swift Dzire Opula. The sedan's front fascia looks bigger and bolder than its previous version. The grills are bigger and the fog lamps gives it a sportier stance.

      The powerful off-roader from Maruti named Gypsy Escapade has been showcased at the Auto Expo event. Broad tires and ample rear luggage space makes this an ideal choice for your expedition trips.

      Maruti Suzuki Ritz comes with a fresh cosmetic upgrade. The car has been rechristened as Jubilo. On the exterior front the car features bigger and sportier, front and rear bumpers. The tail lights and headlamps have been given a smoked look for that aggressive styling.
