The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets refreshingly new cosmetic upgrades and features as compared to the older generation model. The vehicle gets a face which is similar to that of the Ciaz, all thanks to the chrome inserts around the grille and fog lamp housing. The rear also gets a fresh upgrade with chrome inserts, redesigned tail lamps and LED indicators. Mechanically, it continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre K-Series engine that generates 83bhp of power and 114Nm of torque, while the diesel version gets a 1.3-litre Multijet engine that generates 75bhp of power and 190Nm of torque. The new Dzire is available in a total of eight variants among which six of them are also available in AMT options.

Along with the new style element, the new Dzire has also emerged as a popular choice owing to the optional AMT in diesel as well as petrol guise. On the other hand, its competitors like the Hyundai Xcent and the Honda Amaze offer automatic transmission option only in petrol guise. Going forward, the sales figures for the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is likely to see further growth during the festive season.
