Maruti Suzuki has introduced a special edition of the S-Cross dubbed as the Premia. The ex-showroom price of the car is Rs 8.99 lakh and is sold through Nexa dealerships in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

The new Premia is based on the Delta trim of the DDiS 200 diesel version that essentially gets additional accessories. The additional features include alloy wheels, fog lamps, reverse parking assist with a camera and a new Garmin 12.7 cm (five-inch) navigation system. All the other features from the lower-mid level Delta variant continue and are offered as standard.

There are no changes to the powertrain and the Fiat-sourced MultiJet diesel engines are carried over. This includes a 1.3-litre engine that comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and the other 1.6-litre unit comes equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.

The standard Maruti S-Cross DDiS 200 Delta variant costs Rs 9.15 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). This version gets a basic audio system with a CD player and gets steel wheels with full wheel caps. The air-conditiner unit is also a manual AC unit. With the Premia edition, prospective buyers will now get add-on features over the regular equipment in this trim.
