Maruti Suzuki’s S-Cross failed to evoke enough customer response in India owing to which the company had recently offered heavy discounts on the company’s first crossover. This time around international sources have leaked the interior and exterior of what is believed to be the S-Cross facelift. The upcoming model sports a bolder and bigger stance than the current one. Prior to its India debut, the facelift model would first be introduced in the international markets.
Apart from 6-speed manual gearbox, the new model could also feature an optional Suzuki ALLGRIP AWD system. It could not be immediately established if the new model would continue to be offered with a new boosterjet engine or be powered by current generation 1.6-liter DDiS diesel and 1.6-liter petrol engines. Based on leaked interior images, the new facelift model does not get major changes than the current generation model.
As for the exteriors, it sports new front-end with an upright grill featuring upright slats, projector headlamps, larger radiator grill that blends with the new redesigned bumpers. As for the interior, it gets minor tweaks on dashboard, new instrument cluster and new color combination for the upholstery. More details about the vehicle may be known in the coming days.
