      Maruti Suzuki's Chief Operating Officer Mayank Pareek quits

      Based on fresh updates from India's largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki, the Chief Operating Officer for Sales and Marketing, Mayank Pareek has quit his role and decided to move on. Mr. Mayank Pareekh has served Maruti Suzuki for nearly 24 Years. A source from the company stated, “Pareek has been delegating his responsibilities to others for the past 10-12 days now. He also did not participate in the recently held SIAM ( Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) convention held in Delhi last week.”

      Mr. Mayank Pareek has been a key figure in Maruti Suzuki operations for over two decades. Owing to his decision making skills and leadership qualities, Maruti Suzuki's Market shares have been on a high. Mr. Pareekh was reportedly not present to comment on the decision, it is said that he has left the company in search of better prospects. An industry insider quoted to dna on request of anonymity, “This is a critical time for Maruti Suzuki as the competition from international players is increasing. Companies are increasing capacities and launching more products. Pareek's expertise would have helped Maruti Suzuki in maintaining its leadership.”

      The changes just ahead of Ciaz launch can result in diverse situations arising post launch. Sources have stated a possibility that Pareek may have decided to move-on owing to its Japanese partners growing intervention in company affairs. Source have also stated that Mr. Pareekh may join the Indian based automotive giant Tata Motors.
