      Maruti Suzuki registers growth figure of 19.5 per cent in November

      India’s number one car brand, Maruti Suzuki, has registered a growth figure of 19.5 per cent in total sales for the month of November in 2014 as compared to the number it managed a year back. Maruti Suzuki sold 110147 units in November 2014 as compared to 92140 units in the corresponding period in 2013. Domestic sales of the firm grew by 17 per cent to a figure of 1 lakh while exports increased 52.7 per cent in the same period.

      There was a colossal rise in the growth of the mid-sized car segment, which sold 5232 units to register a rise of 2516 per cent. Swift DZire registered a growth of 229 per cent, selling 1989 units in November 2014 as compared to 604 units in the same period last year. Omni and Eeco models clocked a figure 12203 units, which meant a rise of 52.1 per cent from last year.

      The firm’s compact cars, on the other hand, recorded a sales increment by 13.8 per cent as 37339 units of them were sold in total. These models include the likes of Ritz, Celerio and Swift. Surprisingly, the sales of Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and WagonR fell by 0.8 per cent to 37746 units as compared to 38040 units in November 2013.

      Maruti Suzuki
