Maruti Suzuki has silently started offering the Ciaz petrol automatic in the ZXi+ variant at an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs 10.08 lakh. Till now, the automatic version was available in the VXi+ and ZXi trims only.
The Ciaz petrol automatic is powered by a 1,373 cc, four-cylinder mill that produces 91bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 130Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This motor comes mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox.
A step above the ZXi trim, the ZXi+ variant rides on wider 195 section tyres as against the 185 on the ZXi. Cosmetically, it features a chrome garnish on the boot and a door beltline garnish. The additions in cabin include leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a SmartPlay touch screen infotainment system with navigation and voice commands.
The Ciaz is a C-segment car in India, which Maruti Suzuki has tried to make a value for money proposition with addition of new features and new tech. It stands just behind the Honda City in terms of sales and also competes with the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid in the Indian market.
