      Maruti Suzuki launches WagonR Think Big Challenge Season 3 in India

      Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the largest car maker in India, has kick-off the third season of WagonR Think Big Challenge. This initiative of MSIL is considered as a platform for those potential entrepreneurs who are keen to present their pioneering business strategies and ideas. The programme is named as WagonR Think Big Challenge 3, which will surely develop a sense of entrepreneurship among individuals.

      WagonR Think Big Challenge 3 is currently active on Facebook, a social networking site, and has grabbed the interest of numerous individuals. Since fan base is an integral part of any event, the third edition of Maruti’s programme has received hits by more than 6,500 individuals.

      This programme was launched by the company in 2009 and was able to grab the attention of individuals. The second edition of WagonR Think Big Challenge received an outstanding response with more than 45,000 registrations. Third season of this event mainly focus over the participants from specific groups. Owing to this, the third season of WagonR Think Big Challenge features a different group of B-schools students.

      Addressing the event, Shashank Srivastava, Chief General Manager, Marketing, MSIL, said, “This year we expect to see more participation. WagonR Think Big Challenge is an ultimate test of a business idea, passion, leadership and smartness.”

      The general category’s starting round of registrations commenced from 22nd April 2012 (Sunday) with the help of 160 official dealerships of Maruti Suzuki, spread among 19 cities. In addition to these facilities, the registration forms can be also filled online. The winner in this category will be provided with a cash prize of Rs. 10 lacs and a new Maruti Suzuki WagonR. Along with this, he will be also offered an opportunity by venture capitalists to get his/her plan funded, in order to set-up his business.

      The enrolments for college students start from the last week of April 2012. This event will invite entries from more than 120 colleges, which are spread across 12 cities. The smartest idea from the stand of students will be presented a cash prize of Rs. 1 lac.

      Mentioning about the event, Srivastava further said, “Our initiative to nurture innovative business ideas has seen huge popularity in the last two seasons. This year we expect to see more participation. To encourage entrepreneurship among college students we have specifically added a new category this year. WagonR Think Big Challenge is an ultimate test of a business idea, passion, leadership and smartness”
