Maruti Suzuki launches Baleno facelift in India at Rs 5.45 lakhs

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift has been launched at Rs 5.45 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). The facelifted Baleno has been launched in seven petrol and four diesel variants as well six colour options.

The facelifted Baleno gets a new front bumper, grille, LED headlamps, alloy wheels as well as a new design for the fog lamps. The interior changes comprise new infotainment system, black and blue interiors and a new design for climate control/AC panel. The Smart Play infotainment system, which debuted with the latest generation Wagon R, now provides live traffic updates, weather updates and hotel locations.

Engine options have been carried over from the outgoing models and this comprise one petrol and one diesel in the standard car. The standard petrol is the 1.2-litre K-series mill producing 84bhp/140Nm while the diesel is the 1.3-litre engine producing 75bhp/200Nm. Both get a five-speed manual as standard while the 1.2-litre petrol also gets a CVT in the Delta, Alpha and Zeta variants.

The Baleno is Maruti’s rival for the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo as well as the upcoming Tata 45X/Aquilla.
