      Maruti Suzuki India sells 1,10,776 cars in August 2014

      Festive season has got some good news for India's largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki. The Indian car-maker has reported an increase in sales of about 26.9% with 1,10,776 units being sold in the country as against 87,323 units reported last year in the same month. Among its small car fleet, Wagon R, Celerio and Alto have been generating good numbers. Whereas, mid-sized hatchback like Swift and Ritz have also grown by 53.2% as compared to the same period last year.

      Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Tour sales have grown by amazing 114.2% with 1,328 unit sold last month as against 520 units sold in the same month last year. Omni and Eeco sales are up by 25.6% with 9,990 units as against 7,956 units last year. Export numbers have also increased to 12,472 units i.e 10.3% as against 11,305 units being sold in the same month last year.

      The upcoming Ciaz sedan from Maruti Suzuki is expected to be launched soon in the Indian market. Official bookings for the stylish sedan reportedly shall begin from September 3, 2014. It is said that dealers across the country have started accepting bookings for about Rs. 21,000. The upcoming Ciaz sedan is further expected to boost sales as the vehicle is being launched around the festive season. Moreover, Maruti Suzuki as a brand has been one of the most preferred vehicle manufacturer in India owing to delivering cars with low cost of ownership, reliability and efficiency .
