The recently unveiled Maruti Suzuki Ignis has been spotted on test somewhere near Delhi. The car was unveiled in concept form at the 2016 Auto Expo and will be launched for the Indian market during the festival season later this year.
This production version which has been wrapped in heavy camouflage sports basic steel wheels but has the fancy headlamps and the mirror mounted indicators. We can see the basic shape of the car and this is pretty much similar to the hatchover design of the Ignis concept.
The company has not divulged any details about the engine line up for the Ignis but we believe that it will be offered with the 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre diesel in the 75bhp state of tune. Gearbox options are expected to include a five-speed manual and possibly the CVT from the Baleno.
The car will be the third Nexa product to be launched in the Indian market and will join the Baleno and S-Cross.
